VBN were presented at the EPMA booth at Formnext in Frankfurt 2016-11-15 to 2016-11-18.
In the images an High performance lightweigth Vibenite® gear hob is shown. In tests, the hard and heat resistant material performed very well resulting in twice the lifetime and also the possibility for running with double feed in hobbing. The possibility to build lightweigth structures resulted in a weight reduction of 40% of these heavy tools, from 15 to 9 kg.
