VBN presentation at the Swedish AM Day

On December 3rd, CTO Dr. Ulrik Beste held a presentation at the annual AM-day in Kista, Stockholm. The topic was the purpose of using and manufacturing in Vibenite® wear resistant materials. He also presented the first public results of the new material Vibenite®5. Examples of cutting tools usage and a glance into tools for aluminium metal die casting was also featured.

The experiences from the area of Additive Manufacturing are, among others:

  • Clients who can provide 3D/CAD drawings usually do not have drawings that include measurement tolerances, and the ones with such drawings usually do not have 3D/CAD drawings to provide.
  • At the time being, there should be less focus on technology and more focus on material characteristics.
  • To fully utilise the AM potential, greater knowledge about the AM
technology, materials and processing is needed.

Please fill out the form to receive the presentation in PDF.
The presentation is currently available only in Swedish.
